Ben Ruby Neuro Physio Connect

Ben Ruby

Owner and Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist

Ben is the Owner and Lead Therapist at Neuro Physio Connect, bringing a wealth of experience and a dedicated focus on Neurology to his practice. After discovering his passion for neurological physiotherapy early in his career, Ben specialised in the field after graduating with his Physiotherapy degree in 2008. He began his professional journey within the NHS, delivering neuro rehabilitation for inpatients and striving to enhance outcomes for individuals with neurological conditions.

For the past 13 years, Ben has worked in private practice, providing expert care to clients with a diverse range of neurological presentations both in the UK and internationally. His commitment to delivering the highest standards of evidence-based therapy sees him offering tailored interventions in clients’ homes, hydrotherapy pools, and gym environments.

In addition to his specialism in Neurology, Ben is a qualified Strength and Conditioning coach. He is passionate about integrating these principles into his physiotherapy practice, ensuring that every client benefits from engaging, progressive, and effective rehabilitation. Ben’s approach reflects his ongoing commitment to professional development and to supporting clients in achieving their best possible outcomes.

Wendy Forsyth 

Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist

Wendy qualified as a Physiotherapist in South Africa and has worked in the NHS for over 22 years. In this time, she has predominantly worked in the Neuro outpatient service, providing therapy to individuals with a variety of conditions. As well as this, Wendy has run the cardiac rehabilitation service and worked in elderly care services. Wendy has vast experience in treating Stroke and specialises in the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease, carrying out interventions in both a group setting or within people’s homes.

Sita Neuro Physio Connect

Sita Taylor

Physiotherapy Assistant

Sita is trained as a Functional Fitness instructor and has been working in this capacity for nearly 30 years. She specialises in Stroke rehabilitation and treatment of Multiple Sclerosis and has a wealth of experience in adapting exercise programs to suit the needs of the individual. Sita is a qualified Yoga instructor, is ARNI trained and takes great pride in improving people’s strength and balance.

KD Neuro Physio Connect

KD Miller Tomlinson

Physiotherapy Assistant

As a Sports Science graduate and qualified personal trainer, KD is passionate about the positive influence that physical wellbeing has on every aspect of life from how we feel and behave to the way we think. She plays a valuable role in supporting individuals within the local community.

 

KD’s energetic, supportive approach encourages clients to achieve their goals and embrace an active lifestyle. She is currently furthering her expertise by studying to become a qualified Physiotherapist.

Sally Neuro Physio Connect

Sally Coates

Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist

Sally qualified in 2008 from Cardiff University with a first class degree in Physiotherapy. She has spent the last 13 years working for the NHS in the field of Neurological rehabilitation in inpatient, outpatient and community settings.

 

Sally has completed further study in a number of areas including stroke rehabilitation, upper limb treatment techniques, FND and vestibular rehabilitation. Recently she has moved away from the NHS and is now working privately continuing to offer skilled assessment and treatment to people with a wide range of Neurological conditions.

Nicole Groom

Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist

Nicole qualified as a physiotherapist in 1999 and has accumulated over 25 years of experience within the NHS.  The majority of this time has been dedicated to neuro rehabilitation, spanning both inpatient and community settings.


Nicole possesses extensive experience in assessing and treating individuals presenting with a diverse range of neurological conditions, with a specific focus and interest in stroke rehabilitation.

 

She has pursued advanced study in the fields of Upper Limb Rehabilitation, Functional Electrical Stimulation and Functional Neurological Disorders. Having concluded her service with the NHS, Nicole is now a valued member of the Neuro Physio Connect team, helping improve client outcomes as well as supporting the team with vast experience.

Maddison Dexter

Junior Physiotherapist

Maddi graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a first class honors degree in Physiotherapy. After completing placements within all specialisms within the NHS and a placement here at neuro physio connect, Maddi has developed a deep passion for supporting individuals with neurological conditions.

 

Maddi brings a strong foundation in neurological rehabilitation and is dedicated to expanding her expertise in physiotherapy, regularly seeking new knowledge and techniques to enhance her practice and deliver the best possible care. Maddi has a keen interest in hydrotherapy and its unique benefits for neurological rehabilitation. She is passionate about using water-based therapy to help clients improve.

Harvey Farmer

Physiotherapy Assistant

Harvey Farmer joined the Neuro Physio Connect team during his third year as a Physiotherapy student at the University of Hertfordshire, where he immediately stood out during his placement. Impressed by his exceptional grasp of physiotherapy principles and his ability to apply them in practice, we were delighted to offer him a role as an Assistant Physiotherapist upon the completion of his placement.

Harvey brings not only a strong academic background but also a remarkable natural aptitude for neurological rehabilitation. His genuine warmth, approachable manner, and keen interest in client wellbeing have made him an instant favourite with our clients and we are confident he has a bright future ahead in the profession.
